53 Extra: Nosa Omoregie on Open Doors.
There is more to Nosa than being just a gospel artiste
Professionally known as Nosa, Nosa Omoregie shouldn’t be referred to as just a gospel singer but as a musician and an entertainer. Though his early musical influences ranged from gospel singers like Fred Hammond and Kim Burrell, he also drew inspiration from the boy group; Boyz II Men. But his love and hunger for musical influences didn’t end there; he also fell in love with musical genres like Highlife, rock, Jazz and hip-hop, and the beautiful music he churns out from fusing several genre of music speaks major volumes.
Armed with a recording deal with Chocolate City in 2012, the sky became the starting poing for the multi talented singer and song writer and with hits like “Always pray for me” and “why you love me” there is very little to critic in his body of work. A 2014 remix of “Always on my mind” with co-label hit maker MI further buttressed the fact that Nosa is a versatile music maker, all the while still keeping his gospel influences on the front burner.
Nosa, armed with his guitar, will be on #AM53Extra tonight (monday) at 22:30 and will be talking about his musical journey, body of work as well as what new projects he’s got in the pipelines.
