Thanks to the soul-feeding sounds that emanate an intoxicating energy; mimicking the sounds of the Africa drum so perfectly that despite the presence of boarders built by dialects; we dance to the same rhythms both home and abroad. Dr Sid has definitely collaborated his efforts and continues to deliver sounds that make any dance floor feel like home.
Even after dodging the radar for a while, this maestro’s artistic genius remains as sharp as sharp should be. Thanks to a fertile film background, Dr Sid has successfully solo-headed some of Mavin Records’ most successful videos and continues to seek out new angles of presenting motion picture excellence.
It’s no secret that the mother land’s ‘still emerging’ entertainment scene is cut-throat and presents more difficulties than it does opportunities; making it almost impossible for new talent to swim. The Open and Close hit maker is clearly aware of this brick wall and as such, seeks to thoroughly explore the executive side of the label, with hopes of turning it into an internationally recognised African ‘talent concubine’.
Having fixed smiles for a good 4 years, Dr Sid’s decision to bring the smiles to the dance floor was definitely no mistake... and because #53Extra is exclusive like that, we got to shaku shaku to sounds still in the cooking pot and all we can say is, “HIT ALERT”.
