The Best of Double Wahala!

News

Take a walk down memory lane and relive all of the moments that made this season truly Double Wahala.
Season-Wrap-Up

Fights

Biggie bringing twenty fiery personalities together was the best recipe for guaranteed spats. While the fights that have peppered the show are countless, they essentially revolved around three themes: food fights, flying off the handle and personal chemistry clashes.  By far, food fights were the holiest of wars in the Double Wahala House: Rico Swavey’s rallying cry against food wastage and Teddy A’s indictment of greed will remain memorable. Yet the frequency at which Housemates flew off the handle remains unequalled, laurels carried off by Cee-C, closely followed by Ifu Ennada and Dee-One. Then there were also basic personality incompatibilities that would stay muted only up to a certain extent before blowing off full steam.

Romances

The Double Wahala season wouldn’t have been the same without raging pheromones that were inevitably bound to emerge between Housemates. While BBNaija winner Miracle and his on-screen darling Nina had given us the first kiss, their relation went through a wonderful rollercoaster until the finale. It was a whole different ballgame for BBNaija finalists Tobi and Cee-C as their relation died on-screen almost as fast as it was born, in great part killed by Cee-C’s acidic personality.  It was no bed of roses for Teddy A and Bambam but their Eviction one after another helped cement the Bamteddy legend in the House. Likewise it took a very long and winding road for Anto and Lolu to become an item on-screen. As for the rest of the Housemates, it was a matter of stolen kisses and smooches here and there cut short by untimely Evictions.

Twists

It ultimately boiled down to the game and which players had a better grip of the ropes. While the Housemates seemed firmly fixed on exploring other aspects of their stay in the House, Biggie kept bringing out perfectly brewed twists that left the Housemates intoxicated. When the pairing was introduced, the lot pretty much ‘surface-received’ it but its effects went way beyond than that, bearing romantic fruit that saw us experiencing Cebi, Mina and BamTeddy.

Biggie was clearly playing a solo game of chess, moving the pieces in all different directions and eventually checkmating at the ‘repair’ block; because again, tables were shaken and equilibrium lost, resulting in the birth of unlikely friendships and the deepening cracks that led to the complete demise of Cebi. While Cee-C seemed to have had a tough time handling the issue, Tobi moved along swiftly, towards an alliance with Alex that was to stretch way beyond the Game.

More levers were adjusted and just when the Housemates had forged some sort of balance, Biggie introduced the BBBring Back the saw the return of Anto and Khloe. To say the Housemates had much to swallow, would be a complete understatement.

Friendships

Though there was one winner on this season of Big Brother Naija Double Wahala, Miracle, others walked away with prizes that money can’t buy and that is the relationships they formed in the House.

Week in and week out we’ve watched the Housemates building strong relationships which they have now taken beyond the Big Brother House.

The relationship between Bambam and Teddy A seems to be flourishing even more now that they’re outside, and even though they keep saying ‘watch the space’ the friendship they have seems solid to go on for a long time.

How can we forget the bromance from Toracle? Their friendship is so genuine it brews envy and by the look of things, they’re going very far together.

In the mix of their friendship, Alex also joined in after her love interest in the House, Leo was evicted. After crying a river for him, she quickly moved on and found solace in Tobi, whom towards the end, confessed to having romantic feelings for her.

The ending was a perfect one for Alex, Tobi, Nina and Miracle as they got tighter as the end drew near.
