To say this was an absolutely epic season would be quite an understatement so we’ll ‘let the cliff hang’ just a bit and go back to our reminiscing ways. From breathtaking hilltop views to the sweet sounds of mother nature’s melodic niceties plated on rainbow garnished waterfall beds; we were literally brought to our knees by the beauty and harmony that continues to exist independent of men’s influence. All we can say is, “Travel, your money will return but your time won’t!”
From A-listers to new kids on the block, we relished moments that celebrated music as a unique unifying factor that filters through the boarders that are meant to limit us; creating an artistic common ground for all to explore. We discovered Seyi Shay’s tantalizing sounds, danced to Brymo’s beat and echoed meaningful tunes with the Afropolitan vibes crowd. To say music is a beautiful language would be a complete understatement, na so?!
Summer bodies are definitely a thing but what’s a perfect silhouette without perfectly put-together garments? From fashion face-offs with the fairest of tinsel town to fashion events such as the Arise and Lagos bridal, we were plated enough inspiration to get our fashion ducks in a row.
Mawuli and the girls would definitely agree that the 53 Extra experience goes way beyond just running through scripts, following cues and looking good for your viewing pleasure. It’s about experiencing new spaces, embracing new forms of art, appreciating unique cuisines and dancing to new beats.
