It’s only Day 18 of the biggest reality marathon on the continent and it’s safe to say that we’ve had more clap backs than in all the seasons of ‘Desperate Housewives Africa’ put together. These Housemates literally coined the term ‘savagery’. Let’s explore the five times that the Housemates threw shade and clapped back real quick.

Ahneeka

Not being able put together a 56 second puzzle piece in a space of 10 minutes split their ego so much that any wrong buttons pressed would have caused an explosion. Sure enough, after being called arrogant by Biggie, Ahneeka was already a pot put to the boil but when Teddy A told her not to be silly, she exploded and threw shade for Africa. She even went as far as advising Teddy to acquire a pair of steel ones. Savage.

K.Brule

It couldn’t have been easy having to take Khloe’s offences lying down and defenceless; K.Brule just wasn’t about that life anymore. He clapped back extra hard when Khloe tried him; letting her that he was sick of her bullying and told her to get her own food because he’s not her father. Let’s just say that K.Brule’s revolt landed him cuddles and sweet compliments. Extra savage.

Nina

Being surrounded by a group of people that consider themselves more superior that you must be the devil of all discomforts. Even during the Diary Sessions, the other Housemates shamelessly declare her a weak link and constantly throw jabs at her inability to fully express herself in spoken word. The fact that she’s always tucked away nicely on Miracle’s lap hasn’t help much. But when Ifu Ennada threw direct jabs and called her names, Nina had none of it. She returned the offences and stood her ground. Though Miracle had to take it a step further and straighten Ifu Ennada out, Nina sure clapped back and gained a little respect from the others. Peppery.

Alex

Although one of the youngest Housemates, Alex has never led beef slide, at least not that easily. Her first brawl with Khloe stemmed from Khloe’s insensitivity towards her emotional breakdown, but she just had to throw her two cents in when she felt K.Brule was being victimised. She called Khloe out and reminded her that K.Brule didn’t deserve any of her foul mouthing. Even though Khloe didn’t back down, Alex’s point was certainly delivered. Defensive savagery.

Rico Swavey

Last but certainly not least, Rico Swavey. He pulled the biggest clap back thus far. One that wasn't entirely directed at individual but at the group as a whole. We pretty sure you have also noticed just how careless the Housemates have been when it comes to food. While they planned their meals, Rico Swavey let it  rain and pointed out just how disgusted he was with all the waste and how he loathed finding half consumed plates of food that would eventually be thrown out. Many of the Housemates did agree with him but this certainly did hit home.

Coming out of your shell and exploring one's limits is certainly the order of the day in House and these Housemates managed cracked their shells open and roll free. Free enough to clap back. Do you expect more savegery from them?

AngelifuBamteddy, CebiLotoMinaPrittoRineeka and Van-Dee are up for possible Eviction this week. Vote for your favourite pair here or via SMS. Voting closes on Thursday 15 February at 21:00 WAT.
