Season 2 of the hit Show, The Voice Nigeria has been full of surprises so far. We take a look at some of the heavy hitters.

As soon as the Season 2 of the hit singing Show The Voice Nigeria hit our TV screens, it was inevitable that the viewers across the continent were in for a surprise. Episode 1 showed off some vocal gymnastics as several Talent made the Coaches and the viewers at large sit up and take notice; thus giving birth to the 4 Chair Company.

Our very first Talent on the night showed just how to get the Coaches to take notice as 22-year-old high school teacher Emmanuel Precious laid down the marker by getting this season’s first 4-chair-turn by singing Destiny Child’s “Survivor”.

Not to be outdone, the other Talent also gave it their best, falling short of the prestigious 4-chair mark; step up 19-year-old Favour Idugbe. The diminutive singer wowed everyone in the room with her vocal dexterity and control which bellied her young age belting out the tunes of Ms Jaie’s “Kilon Popping”.

It seemed the Talent on EP 2 had gotten the memo and came duly prepared with all the Talent trying everything to impress the Coaches. The very first Talent on the night was 22-year-old Daniel Diongoli and he wasted no time in showing the Coaches and the audience that he was no slouch. He bagged EP 2’s first 4-chair-turn after he dazzled with Bez’s “Zuchiya daya”.

Though the other Talent came close, the only other 4-chair-turn came at the very end of the episode with the last Talent 25-year-old Kendris Ologidi. Talent held everyone watching spell-bound when he put his own spin on Christina Aguilera’s “What a girl wants”.

So far, four Talent have made it into the elitist club and we believe that with more Blind Auditions still to come, there could be more inductees into the prestigious 4-Chair-Company.
