Born Ikponmwosa Osakioduwa, IK, as he’s affectionately known, successfully hosted the show last year.

IK has certainly proven to be a household name over the past few years. He started off as a radio presenter in 2001 and he is now known all over the country for his TV presenting skills, if not the continent as well.

He will be back on our screens to host what promises to be an exciting new Season, which premieres in less than two weeks and here’s why we believe he is the ideal host.

Firstly, IK has vast experience in TV presenting and even though he had started making a name for himself in the industry since the early 2000s, it was his debut appearance on the reality show, Big Brother Africa in 2009 that put him on the continental spotlight. This has made him the most sought after TV host in the country.

His TV presenting career has gone from strength to strength since then and he has hosted a number of shows, such as the Lagos Countdown Show “Quest” and most recently, The Voice Nigeria, which had a successful run last year.

He also hosted High Lites with IK, a show focusing on current affairs, societal issues, as well as trending topics. It recently came to an end, after three successful seasons. This man certainly has this TV presenting gig on lockdown.

His on-screen enthusiasm and easy-going character have also won him millions of hearts. There is never a dull moment with IK, as he keeps us glued to our screens with his jokes and constant interaction.

He will often show his compassionate side, if need be, offering a Housemate, should it be on Big Brother, or Talent on The Voice Nigeria, words of encouragement and even a shoulder to cry on. He will often strike up a conversation with them, like he has known them for years, thanks to his easy going personality. So why wouldn’t he be most likeable, one would wonder?

IK is always looking dapper too. As host, he makes sure that he dresses the part in his sharp, tailored suits, probably making him most appealing to the female audience. He is quite the all-rounder and which better show would he be hosting this year than The Voice Nigeria? Catch him on a brand new and exciting Season this year!

Season 2 of The Voice Nigeria premiers on Sunday the 18th of June at 20:00 CAT on Africa Magic Showcase, DStv Channel 151 and Africa Magic Urban, DStv Channel 153.
