Will Smith is set to protray the life of Nigerian neuropathologist, Dr. Bennet Omalu. The doctor famed for diagnosing the first case of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (C.T.E.)

Dr. Bennet Omalu is one of the most celebrated and equally despised doctors in modern day history. The Nigerian-born pathologist is widely known for uncovering the longterm negative effects on the brain as a result of playing American Football.


When he presented his findings he was met with wide scale critcism and resistance from the NFL and spent many years defending his research.


Now the pioneering doctor is set to have his battle depicted in a Hollywood film that stars none other than Will Smith!


The actor will portray Dr. Omalu's life as his whole life changed after he diagnosed the first case of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (C.T.E.) in a former NFL player.
