Kenyan singer/actress Avril will be getting an on-screen role in the drama series, Noose of Gold.
The TV series’ storyline revolves around a member of parliament’s personal and work life – his wife, his secretary, some shady deals, his best friend and his daughter. The MP’s extramarital affairs catch up with him and as his friends turn out to be his foes. The one thing that was intended to make him happy turns out to be his worst nightmare.
The constant in this captivating drama is the greed of the principal players in a game of love and high stakes politics.
Noose of Gold stars Godfrey Odhiambo, Kanana Gichuru, Ken Ambani, Naomi Wambui, Martin Githinji, Damaris Matunda, Brenda Mwai, Grace Dola and Raymond Ofula. The series is directed by Benjamin “Boy-Genius” Ratita. This will be Avril’s second major screen role after her debut as Miss B’have in the MTV series Shuga: Love Sex Money.
The details of which character Avril will be playing on screen are yet to be released. The singer, who is a Channel O Award nominee, has just released her latest single Hakuna Yule.
