By: Ayanda KuneneMusician Goldie has revealed that she is in talks with her former Big Brother Africa StarGame housemate Rocky for a song collaboration.
“Myself and Rocky from the Big Brother House will be talking, I think he is a great talent, he produces and he writes. At the moment we are not sure how we’re going to work given the distance but we are definitely going to do something together.” Rocky is a musician from Zimbabwe.
Goldie adds that she is also planning on working with artists from other African countries. The collaborations that she will be working on for her latest album will aim for a cross over sound. “Music is supposed to enigmatic and by listening to it you are supposed to hear a bit of everything. That makes it last longer. You make like a worldwide sound and that is what I want.”
Rocky is one of the housemates that left a lasting impression on the Nigerian lass. “I liked Rocky, I think Rocky was extremely intellectual, he was very weird and you know I gravitate towards such people.” Ghanaian UpVille housemate DKB also left an impression as he always had something funny to say.
Goldie says she has briefly spoken to Prezzo since the finale on Sunday. “We have spoken since Sunday but there hasn’t been much time because of the press work and so on. He was just trying to explain some stuff.” Prospects of a relationship however seem minimal.
In hindsight Goldie says she would of probably gone the Lady May route of being a recluse. “If I were to go back into the Big Brother House I would probably be like Lady May, just keep away from everyone, and not allow myself to get entangled in emotions.
I later understood what she was doing. It’s not that she was being antisocial or unfriendly but she did not want to be attached to people who would then leave (evictions), and in turn leave her emotionally drained.” She also stresses that second time around she would also keep Prezzo at arm’s length.
Given the opportunity Goldie says she would take part in another reality TV series. “I like trying new things, so given the shows concept I will try it out.” She let it slip that she has been approached to do another reality TV show but was mum about further details on the show and which channel the show would air.
The Big Brother Africa StarGame house experience will play a major role in Goldie’s when she starts working on her latest album.
The album is expected to drop before the end of this year. To Follow Goldie on Twitter: @GoldieHarvey
